Завданнями вивчення навчальної дисципліни є удосконалення та подальший розвиток набутих у школі знань, навичок та вмінь з іноземної мови в різних видах мовної діяльності. Вивчення іноземної мови передбачає володіння термінологічною та загальномовною лексикою, набуття навичок читання та усного і письмового перекладу оригінальних науково-технічних текстів за фахом, вміння розуміти іноземну мову як при безпосередньому спілкуванні, так і у фонозапису, вести бесіду та робити повідомлення з фаху та з суспільно-політичної тематики в межах тем, зазначених програмою.
The tasks of studying the discipline are the improvement and further development of the knowledge, skills and abilities of the foreign language acquired in the school in different kinds of speech activity. The study of a foreign language involves the possession of terminological and general vocabulary, the acquisition of reading and oral and written translation of the original scientific and technical texts on the specialty, the ability to understand the foreign language both in direct communication and in the phonography, to conduct conversations and to make announcements on the specialty and from the public -political topics within the themes indicated by the program.
