Description |
Narrow ring lane of interstellar medium is considered as two-dimensional incompressible self-gravitating liquid with given differential flow. Variability of the surface density and the ring curvature at the distances of the order of its width are also ignored. The stability of such ring lane is investigated in linear approximation. The gas-dust ring has two types of instability: Jeans instability at long wavelength and hydrodynamic instability at short ones. The effect of galaxy rotation is found to be able to remove the both instabilities provided the approximate values of the parameters chosen.
